A Nuclear Medicine Staff Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. This role is responsible for performing scintigrams and contributing to the basic functions and goals of the nuclear medicine department. Qualifications: Education: Must have graduated from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine. Certifications: RT(N)(ARRT) or CNMT required within 12 months of the start date. RT(R)(N)(ARRT) is preferred. American Red Cross BLS required. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire and must be maintained. Experience: A minimum of one year of nuclear medicine experience is preferred. Skills: Must be able to multitask, maintain a professional appearance and attitude, and demonstrate quality patient care by attending to patients' comfort and emotional needs. The ideal candidate will communicate tactfully and diplomatically with patients and staff, accept ownership of concerns, and work collaboratively to maintain a productive and friendly work environment. Must also be committed to performance improvement activities and compliance with regulations such as those from the Joint Commission. TriStar Summit is a 230+ bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services. These include cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation and women's services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. We are a Primary Stroke Center.
