Full Stack Developer Position

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer in Jersey City, NJ. Proficient in core Java development skills as well as multiple design techniques. Working proficiency in core Java development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks. Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency, and security. Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages. Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of software. Essential: Strong foundational knowledge in data structures, caching, multithreading, messaging, and asynchronous communication. Proficiency in Unix/Linux tools and shell scripting. Hands-on practical experience in Java frameworks, including Spring and Spring Boot, Cloud, Kubernetes. Solid understanding of J2EE, object-oriented programming, and Java design patterns. Experience in API and microservices development with a strong grasp of system integration. Exposure to UI development using frameworks such as React and Angular. Familiarity with development tools and Java IDEs, including Ant, Maven, Jenkins, JUnit, Spark, Eclipse, and IntelliJ. Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Test Automation (Unit & Integration tests), Application Resiliency, and Security. Extensive technical development experience, including effective coding, code reviews, and best practices in configuration management and code refactoring. Proficiency in SQL and database development. Experience with cloud technologies, with a preference for AWS. Desirable: Experience or knowledge in metadata management is a plus. Experience with data unification, discovery, and governance is desirable. General understanding of data governance practices. Database experience using RDBMS (Preferably Oracle) and NoSQL (Good to know). Familiarity with tools such as Git, JUnit, Sonar, Selenium, and JIRA is desirable. Knowledge and experience in data-related activities, including data modeling, data quality, data governance, metadata, data management, data structures, data visualization, and business requirements. AWS certification is a plus. AWS Integration and Deployment: Experience integrating Java applications with AWS services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and S3. Security and Best Practices: Understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles and policies, to ensure secure access and management of AWS resources in Java applications. CI/CD and Monitoring: Familiarity with setting up CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline or similar tools, and knowledge of AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and logging application performance. Design and develop resilient and robust web-based applications hosted on both cloud and on-premises platforms. Engage in the hands-on design and development of technical artifacts. Participate in technical reviews and contribute to defining and improving processes related to configuration management, deployment, and resiliency planning for the application. Maintain, enhance, and implement bug fixes; proactively monitor priority items, investigate issues, analyze solutions, and drive problems to resolution. Collaborate with cross-line-of-business (xLOB) teams to align technical requirements with existing offerings and the roadmap. Create system integration solutions and interfaces.
