NonprofitDirector of Operations
for a mission-driven healthcare association in New Jersey. This is a full-time,
onsite
leadership opportunity located in
Trenton, NJ . This newly created position reports directly to the President & CEO and will provide strategic operational oversight across departments.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Director of Operations will serve as a key leader in the organization, overseeing operations, finance, and personnel activities to support internal functions and strategic growth. This role will help shape organizational systems and improve efficiencies across departments while supporting the CEO. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead and refine operational processes for a highly impactful health-focused nonprofit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and oversee daily operations, including financial systems, HR, and administration Implement and manage systems for organizational efficiency and effectiveness Support strategic planning and internal initiatives in collaboration with the CEO Supervise accounting functions and ensure strong fiscal management and compliance Develop and improve internal policies, systems, and procedures Conduct research and prepare issue briefs and correspondence on key organizational topics
QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters degree or MBA required 3 years of experience leading operational activities in nonprofit or similar mission-based settings Skilled in financial oversight, HR systems, and organizational leadership Strong interpersonal, team-building, and conflict resolution skills Demonstrated ability to write and communicate complex information clearly, including data visualization
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position offers a competitive annual salary of up to $110,000, plus a robust benefits package including healthcare coverage and paid time off. This is a full-time, onsite role with regular weekday hours (MondayFriday, 9am5pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch). The organization also supports professional growth and offers opportunities to engage in mission-driven work that directly impacts communities.
