Tandem Clinical Research
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role requires strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring monthly close targets are achieved. Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Coordinate and manage annual audits, including preparation and submission of audit documentation. Work closely with the FP&A function to support budgeting and forecasting. Provide ad hoc reporting and analytical support to leadership as needed. Controls & Compliance Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy. Document internal controls, processes, and procedures in line with best practices. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards. Cash Management & Treasury Manage daily treasury operations across multiple bank accounts. Monitor cash flow and initiate ACH, wire, and internal transfer transactions with proper approvals. Maintain accurate loan schedules and reconcile all banking transactions with the general ledger. System Implementation & Optimization Support the implementation of new financial systems and tools to enhance accounting capabilities. Supervise and manage the accounting team, including training, support, and performance evaluations. Promote professional growth and high performance within the department. Required Experience and Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Experience 3–5 years of experience in accounting. Certifications CPA required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership presence aligned with Prolerity’s culture and values. Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, and relevant laws and regulations. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (intermediate to advanced level). Experience with NetSuite preferred. Sound business judgment with the ability to make timely and thoughtful decisions. Adaptability and willingness to adjust priorities based on evolving business needs. Managerial Requirements This position includes managerial responsibilities, including development, oversight, and direction of departmental staff. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, coaching, goal setting, salary recommendations, and retention planning. Location Remote – Candidates based in Orlando or Jacksonville, FL preferred. Seniority level
