Position Title: Nurse Manager of Surgical Services Shift Details: Mixed (Rotating Weekends) Job Summary and Qualifications

Assures the delivery of professional nursing care within the Operating Room by assessing, planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing care provided to all surgery patients. Collaborates with the OR Educator in education and training of all department staff, both during initial implementation and on an ongoing basis. Develops staff by department-specific needs assessment, sets goals and objectives, and implements evaluation measures. Develops, maintains, and interprets policies and procedures; maintains fiscal responsibility for the department. Responsible for implementing professional nursing care for all patients. Acts as liaison between OR staff, administration, medical staff, and other hospital departments. Conducts performance appraisals in collaboration with clinical leadership. Participates in facility management team meetings. Works collaboratively with the director, administration, finance, and unit leadership on operating and capital budgets. Qualifications Needed Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room acute care leadership experience and at least 5 years of RN staff-level operating room experience. Strong clinical knowledge in surgical nursing. Bachelor's degree. Current State of Texas RN license or compact state license. Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association. CNOR certification preferred.
