Accounts Payable Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in West Jordan, Utah. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments while adhering to organizational policies and financial standards. Responsibilities: Process invoices with accuracy, ensuring proper account coding and compliance with company policies. Handle payment transactions via Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check runs. Review and reconcile accounts payable records to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of all payable transactions. Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to address and resolve payment inquiries. Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Monitor and improve accounts payable processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations and company guidelines. Provide support during audits by supplying relevant accounts payable documentation. Requirements: Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment handling. Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check processing. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records. Proficiency in using accounting software and tools. Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in accounts payable. High level of organizational and problem-solving skills.
