Deputy Sea Combat Commander (SCC) Syndicate Lead
You will serve as a Deputy Sea Combat Commander (SCC) Syndicate Lead in the N3 Operations Department of COMMANDER THIRD FLEET. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Responsibilities: You will serve as the Carrier Strike Group FIFTEEN (CSG-15) lead civilian agent, expert and Senior Staff Officer for the development of all surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, missions of state, and mine warfare training/assessment. You will assist in the coordination of the command's SCC training efforts and advises the SCC Syndicate Lead and the Exercise Director of Operations on all issues related to training, mentoring, assessing, exercise development and execution. You will be responsible for identifying issues of concern and providing recommendations to the SCC Syndicate Lead. You will provide exercise oversight, exercise coordination, and exercise command and control over a team of watch standers in the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG). You will supervise, assign and mentor personnel to ensure effective execution of academic training, synthetic wargame scenarios and exercise control. You will assist with warfare curriculum development and execution utilizing synthetic war-gaming software for synthetic events/exercises. Requirements: Conditions of Employment: Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing plans, tasks, and schedules to ensure proper sequencing of events and tracking of processes pertaining to naval exercise planning and execution.
