BANQUET COOK 1
is responsible to prepare food for Banquets, special events and employee meals, meeting hotel standards of production quality and quantity. The expected base wage range for this position is: $25 per hour. This position may be eligible for additional compensation according to the Company's policies, as they may be amended from time to time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: To follow all specifications to properly and efficiently prepare and present all food items to be served for banquet event orders, including accommodating special guest requests. To organize and execute daily BEOs (Banquet Event Orders). To ensure that proper portions of all banquet items are served at each banquet function while maintaining hotel standards. To assist with food preparation for the employee meals meeting the hotel standards. To follow all specifications to properly handle all product used in hotel cooking. To prepare foods in large quantity and consistency leading up to the special event and assist during plate ups. To assist the Corporate Executive Chef, Banquet Chef, Banquet Sous Chef and Chef De Partie with the kitchen organization and to follow all specific procedures to open or close the kitchen. To assume all duties of the Chef De Partie in his/her absence. To follow all specifications to properly set up for all banquet functions. To take daily inventory of all items in the walk-in and assist, as directed, to order stock. To utilize FIFO in banquet spaces to minimize waste and spoilage. To promptly notify supervisor of product spoilage. To maintain internal cleanliness of workstations, walk-in and freezer. To communicate all guest requests to an appropriate supervisor in a timely and professional manner. QUALIFICATIONS: Able to understand basic English and follow simple verbal directions. Must have basic knowledge of production and operations in all relevant kitchen areas. Must be familiar with proper use and maintenance of relevant kitchen equipment and machinery. Hotel experience and professional culinary certification or degree preferred. A minimum of 4 years culinary experience within restaurants or food service is required. A valid food handlers card must be timely obtained upon hire and maintained in good standing, which time and expense may be compensable. SKILLS AND APTITUDES:

Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Stands/walks short distances throughout shift. Bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, pulls, and lifts to perform routine job tasks. Frequently required to handle and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. over short to moderate distances. Must be able to work under pressure. TRAVEL: This position is not expected to travel for work. REMOTE WORK: This position is not eligible to work remotely.
