Accounts Payable Manager - Corporate | Summit Healthcare Mgmt | Franklin, Tennessee
About the Job:
The Accounts Payable Manager supervises and manages the accounts payable activities of the accounts payable team for both the corporate entity and all facility subsidiaries. This position will be responsible for ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner following the companys policies and procedures. In addition, they will ensure the highest level of customer service is delivered to internal and external customers by the accounts payable team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversees purchase to pay end to end technology implementation and process improvements for the consolidated company, collaborating with vendor management, treasury, accounting and other impacted internal departments. Supervises and leads the facility and corporate accounts payable teams in all daily accounts payable functions including: Oversees the accounts payable process and reallocates work where necessary. Monitors individual team member productivity. Monitors relevant transaction activity in accounting system. Assists and covers team members when necessary. Reviews and approves invoices in accounting system as needed. Assists with month end payables accrual processes. Monthly reviews vendors for any changes to resolve any issues and review/approve changes. Ensures accounts payable team delivers the highest-level customer service and is providing timely responses to internal and external customers, including research and resolution of any accounts payable issues. Provides training and guidance to accounts payable team as well as to other departments or facilities where necessary to ensure communication of and adherence to purchase order, invoicing, and other accounts payable policies. Acts as liaison and resource for corporate departments and facilities for any accounts payable issues. Reads and interprets legal agreements to ensure accurate payments and collaborate with accounting personnel on proper accounting treatment. Supervises the year end 1099 process.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
Associates degree in Accounting or related field required. At least five years of accounts payable experience required. At least two years of supervisory experience required. Great Plains experience required. Working knowledge of computers and business software applications. Prior experience with new system implementations is a plus.
