The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Sr. Application Analyst Integration Architecture. Working as a member of the Integration Architect team, the Sr. Application Analyst supports the implementation, integration and support of UHS clinical and business applications to ensure compliance with IS and regulatory objectives for acute care and ambulatory facilities, including but not limited to HIEs and Public Health Agency interfaces. Focuses on learning and understanding the people, process and technology used at acute, behavioral health, and ambulatory practice locations, to support UHS meeting regularity guidelines as well as data sharing and state and local initiatives that may or may not carry financial incentives. Examines clinical and business workflows and participates in system integration and support activities. Participates in the resolution of system issues as requested by facilities or as assigned. Implements changes to existing applications as directed by management. Provides end user support and application troubleshooting. Coordinates work assignments given in order to meet deadlines and ensure continued progress toward assignment completion. Shares experience and expertise with other members of team and is viewed as an employee with significant technical expertise. Contributes to design, development, deployment, testing and support of the Cerner Millennium system UHS clinical information systems across all Acute Care Hospitals. Responsible for change control and ensuring that policy and procedures are followed as well as facilitating communication within the organization. Key include: Applies knowledge of clinical and business workflows of assigned areas including but not limited to clinical documentation, clinical orders, lab, pharmacy and radiology. Participates in or leads meetings with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify system specifications. Manages projects: tracks tasks, issues, and action items; escalates risks as necessary; and drives projects to completion. Supports the implementation of applications and prepares appropriate documentation. Performs system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle to ensure the applications meet Quality Assurance standards. Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards and documents project progress using UHS selected project management toolsets. Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management. Assists with the training of users in operating procedures for application. Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management Policies. Researches and resolves Customer Support Center Tickets or other application or performance issues. Establishes and maintains regular communications with user community. Analyzes Federal and/or State regulations pertaining to Promoting Interoperability, MACRA and other Federal programs to identify requirements and standards necessary to meet program requirements. Prepares and submits status reports to supervisor as required. Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems. Position Requirements: Knowledge: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a Business, Technology or Clinically related field (chemistry, biology, etc.). Five to eight years experience working with healthcare information systems is required. Five or more years of Information Systems experience. Three to five years of Cerner Millennium experience. Significant knowledge of Cerner related projects including packages, flashes, domain refreshes and upgrades, and support of various Cerner systems. Provides guidance to influence adherence to the IT organizational goals and objectives. General familiarity of user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support the healthcare applications. Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency. Skills: Ability to quickly orient, understand and apply system application implementation, enhancement, and support methods; clinical or business practices and workflows; and concepts and terminology used to support applications. Ability to perform computer systems analysis, programming techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications; and design, development, documentation, analysis, testing, coding, debugging, or modification of computer systems or programs based on and related to user design specifications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Maintains Service Excellence Principals. Travel Requirements: 5 25% domestic US travel (depending on projects).
