The posted compensation range of $32.72 - $47.45 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 educational assistance available to external candidates. Great opportunity for a new graduate!! Responsibilities include: Performs various diagnostic cardiology and/or peripheral vascular exams. Corroborates clinical history and assesses patient for appropriateness of ordered procedure. Provides patient education, applies patient relations skills and maintains confidentiality. Assumes responsibility for assigned area, reporting equipment malfunctions. Responsible for completing quarterly mandatory education requirements. Assumes responsibility for personal and professional development. Performs value-added activities that result in positive customer satisfaction. Participates in Quality Improvement and Accreditation activities. Participates in all safety, security, and infection control programs. When scheduled on-call, must be able to respond within 30 minutes of notification. May require light travel or floating to other CHI Health facilities. All team members are responsible for maintaining a positive work environment. Other duties as assigned by department leader. Qualifications include: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical job training. Minimum of two registries in: Adult Cardiac Sonography (RDCS-AE) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) and Vascular Technology (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS). AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date. Must be familiar with standard cardiac and/or peripheral vascular ultrasound views, equipment, and controls. Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of basic maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, physicians, patients, and departmental supervisor. Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and professional standards. Demonstrates personal traits of motivation, quality, teamwork, professionalism, and integrity. Ability to load ultrasound and other diagnostic gear and operate vehicle.
