As a Mental Health Therapist, you'll play a critical role in delivering non-medical mental health services to incarcerated individuals, supporting their rehabilitation and long-term well-being.

In this role, you'll work closely with facility staff and other behavioral health professionals to evaluate, treat, and manage mental health needs within a secure environment. Responsibilities

Conduct mental health screenings and psychological assessments through clinical interviews and review of available records Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional levels Deliver therapeutic services, including individual counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health education Maintain accurate and timely documentation in each individual's health record, adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards Provide clinical insight and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams regarding treatment approaches and continuity of care Respond to mental health crises, conduct suicide risk assessments, and intervene when necessary Uphold ethical practices and professional standards in all clinical activities

Qualifications

Master's degree

in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related clinical discipline from an accredited institution Minimum 2 years of clinical experience

providing mental health services Must be

licensed or certified

as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of practice Must be at least

21 years of age Demonstrated knowledge of clinical counseling theory, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions Experience working in correctional, forensic, or high-risk settings (preferred, not required) Ability to maintain composure, professionalism, and clinical judgment in high-pressure situations
