Systems Administrator
Genesis10 is seeking a Systems Administrator. This is a 6-9+ month contract position located in Brookfield, WI. This role is 90% remote only requiring 2 days in office per month. Job Responsibilities Implement, administer, and troubleshoot cloud and on-premises infrastructure including servers, storage, network and related software and applications. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving physical hardware, software and other network and system problems. Replacing faulty infrastructure and out of support software when required. Conducts scheduled system checkup and prepares reports. Provides consultation to business partners related to future system integrations. Ensures disaster recovery solution is operational, maintained and meeting the business needs. Adheres to the companys ITIL processes in the ITSM system that documents requests, incidents, problems, and changes. Provides a proactive approach and thought leadership to implement efficiencies to the environment. Delivers excellent customer service, resolving support requests and ensuring prompt and effective resolutions within agreed service timescales. Performs maintenance tasks on supported infrastructure and applications during after business hours maintenance windows when required. Escalates calls where significant service affecting incidents or security breaches occur as appropriate. Follows standard operating procedures relating to management of the infrastructure platforms and security environments. Completes and maintains accurate documentation. Performs project work and other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in an IT Infrastructure delivery and/or support role. Minimum of 5 years working experience in an IT infrastructure delivery and support role infrastructure. Minimum 5 years proven experience with system security and enterprise data protection across integrated systems. Minimum 3 years experience with enterprise networking - Layer 2 and 3 network switches, OSI layers, TCP/IP, and VLAN and subnet management. Preferred working knowledge of SDWAN. Minimum 3 years proven experience virtualization, containerization, server OS and storage technologies. Minimum 2 years proven experience with scripting/automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python, etc. Minimum 2 years proven experience with cloud computing. Microsoft Azure is preferred. Minimum 2 years proven experience with supporting Active Directory and Entra ID accounts and policies. Minimum 1 year proven experience with monitoring tools/systems. Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions. Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle for travel to branches.
