Community Living Center Nurse Manager Of Programs
The Community Living Center (CLC) Nurse Manager of Programs functions as a clinical expert and is responsible for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care. The NM assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components, and assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction by overseeing the CLC program. Responsibilities include: Overseeing daily administrative and clinical operations of the assigned unit. Formulating and implementing policies and procedures. Keeping updated on CMS Long-Term Care trends, developments, and regulations. Ensuring continuous accreditation readiness. Monitoring quality metrics and driving performance improvement activities. Participating and serving as Chair/Co-Chair in committees and task forces. Ensuring customer service, patient satisfaction, employee safety, and a healthy work environment. Maintaining 24/7 staffing levels and meeting nursing hours per patient day requirements. Promoting education, professional growth, mentorship, and clear role expectations. Supporting student nurse clinical experiences and orienting new Nurse Managers. Assigning a Nurse Manager for administrative coverage in their absence. Encouraging participation in shared governance and facility councils. Evaluating nursing care standards and clinical practices. Implementing and evaluating initiatives for improved patient care delivery. Ensuring compliance in documentation. Engaging in team conferences, daily discharge huddles, interdisciplinary meetings, in-services, staff meetings, and shared governance councils. Monitoring compliance with Medical Center and Nursing policies, and accreditation standards. Analyzing data to inform programmatic, staffing, and patient care decisions. Collaborating proactively with labor partners and adhering to EEO principles. Ensuring timely completion of performance appraisals for direct reports. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE); OR Individuals attending a master's level bridge program in nursing who have completed coursework equivalent to a bachelor's level degree in Nursing may have opportunity to become registered as a nurse with a state licensing board prior to completion of the bridge program. Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Preferred Experience: Two or more years of Community Living Center (CLC) experience. Two or more years of managerial experience including Progressive Leadership and Assistant Nurse Manager experience. Salary for this position ranges dependent upon applicant qualifications: Grade 1, Levels 1-3: $150,806-$200,570 annually Grade 2: $177,942-$225,700 annually Grade 3: $193,957-$225,700 annually Physical Requirements: This position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity. The position requires potentially, long periods of combined walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling, and pushing. The incumbent must be a mature, flexible, sensible individual capable of working effectively in stressful situations, able to shift priorities based on needs of the organization.
