Applications Database Analyst
GovCIO is currently hiring for an Applications Database Analyst to support our customer, USPS and their Logistics Tech Services Group. This position is fully remote. Responsibilities include: Business Requirements: Analyze and translate business requirements into efficient database designs. Data Modeling: Create conceptual, logical, and physical database models. Database Design Patterns: Utilize common database design patterns. Data Integration: Utilize common data integration techniques. Normalization Techniques: Utilize normalization principles. Indexing Strategies: Implement indexing techniques. Database Security: Use data security best practices. Scalability and Performance: Design database that can scale to handle increasing workloads. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, developers, architects, and other team members. Qualifications include: Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years of application database analysis experience. Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies, SDLC practices, DevSecOps, Secure Coding practices, and the Solutions Development Framework. Experience with Cloud architecture, design and development. Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes. Change Management and Configuration Management. Application Lifecycle Management. 5+ years' experience in designing large and complex IT solutions in large organizations. A degree from an accredited College/University in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
