Sr. Network Engineer
Collins Aerospace is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer to join their team! The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for performing network support and system troubleshooting to maintain the integrity and availability of our systems. This position involves hands-on administration, implementation, and troubleshooting of enterprise network systems. What You Will Do: Implementing and managing switch, firewall, and router configurations. Utilizing scripting knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and associated security practices. Collaborating with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain strict security requirements. Design, deploy, implement, modernize, and support scalable network solutions using industry best practices. Architect and develop network systems optimized for performance and scalability across multiple computing environments. Provide guidance on network resource allocation, utilization, and optimization. Troubleshoot network issues effectively, focusing on mitigation and prevention. Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to maintain stringent security requirements. Weekend and after-hours support may be required as needed. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Active DoD Secret clearance is required. Must obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140/8570 Certification within 3 months of start date. Current CCNA Networking Certification (CCNP preferred). A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with the following skills: Proven experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities. Ability to develop solutions and documentation for complex technical challenges. Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity products.
