This includes assisting in network design, installing and configuring network hardware and software, maintaining connectivity across all workstations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security measures to protect organizational data and systems. Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points) and related software. Monitor network performance and proactively address performance issues, bottlenecks, and outages. Manage user access, permissions, and network resources. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, hardware, and software issues in a timely manner. Conduct regular network maintenance, including firmware updates and security patches. Document network configurations, procedures, and changes. Collaborate with other IT staff on projects involving systems integration, upgrades, or migrations. Maintain backups and disaster recovery processes for network infrastructure. Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and best practices. Knowledge and Skills: Proven experience in network administration or a similar role. Strong knowledge of MS VISIO, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, VXLAN and network security practices. Experience with enterprise network hardware from vendors such as Aruba, Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and systems (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios). Familiarity with network security and policy enforcement platforms that act as gatekeepers for wired, wireless, and VPN access (e.g., ISE, ClearPass) Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) preferred. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent and seven (7) years relevant experience. At least two years of relevant college-level course work or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) of progressive experience. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Three (3) years of progressive experience. Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities Work Environment: This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to perform maintenance, upgrades, or resolve outages. On-call availability may be required depending on operational needs.
