Job Summary:

The Network Engineer will be a key member of our IT team, responsible for the design, deployment, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise-level LAN and WAN infrastructure. This role requires a strong commitment to implementing best practices for network security and performance. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our network environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and configure network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, adhering to industry best practices and company standards. Collaborate with the firewall partner to support and maintain network firewalls, including policy management, VPN configuration, threat prevention, and troubleshooting. Implement and manage LAN infrastructure Configure and troubleshoot wireless solutions, ensuring optimal coverage, performance, and security for corporate Wi-Fi. Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency and availability. Participate in the planning and execution of network upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments. Respond to and resolve complex network incidents and problems in a timely manner, providing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., Systems, Security) to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT services. Stay current with emerging network technologies, security threats, and industry best practices. Provide technical guidance and support to junior IT staff as needed. Ensure compliance with all relevant security policies and regulatory requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles. 5+ years of hands-on experience with firewall management. Fluency in various firewalls platforms :

extensive experience with, policy creation, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), UTM features, and troubleshooting. Strong expertise with various LAN infrastructure platforms Strong expertise with various Wireless platforms :

experience with AP provisioning, RF planning, 802.1X, and troubleshooting wireless connectivity issues. Solid understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, and DNS. Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to security best practices and network hardening. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
