Bay City Factory, 2600 S. Euclid Ave., Bay City, MI 48706.
JOB SUMMARY
Ensuring safe and effective equipment maintenance and improvement, following SQF/GMP and MIOSHA guidelines and standards. Maintain equipment reliability and capacity assurance, ensure that all P&W equipment is maintained and kept available to perform at or above design capacity. Effectively develop and direct the P&W Maintenance team in an effort to maximize productivity and minimize excess cost and downtime.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and development of the maintenance department to achieve Michigan Sugars goals. Establish and adhere to the annual maintenance budget. On-call for site support as needed. Identifying the required qualifications, training, and managing development plans to create a team with the necessary skill to effectively maintain and upgrade all P&W equipment. Optimization of employee efficiency and work quality through management of the planning, scheduling and storeroom functions. Establishing detailed Inter-campaign maintenance outage plans to meet operational start-up deadlines. Coordinate maintenance activities with appropriate individuals from supporting departments to ensure proper planning and transparency of downtime. Ensuring all maintenance personnel comply with regulatory requirements including SQF/GMP, MIOSHA, and EGLE. Participate in quality meetings and audits and take appropriate corrective actions as needed. Develop and utilize our CMMS system to complete and track planned and reactive repairs. Evaluate reliability through Mean Time to Repair & Mean Time to Failure & provide solutions for continuous improvement to minimize downtime and enhance product output. Help lead implementation & utilization of KPI's to measure asset/equipment performance & total lifecycle maintenance costs. Identify critical equipment and develop a preventative and predictive maintenance plan. Responsible for the identification, submission, and implementation of capital and extraordinary maintenance projects for sustainability and continuous improvement. Work directly with the Shift Supervision to understand and address maintenance needs. Understand and adhere to Michigan Sugar Company policies and procedures. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent industrial experience of 10+ years with progressive supervisory responsibilities. Demonstrate completion of Maintenance and Reliability courses and/or professional qualifications in the same field. Training or relevant exposure in a supervisory role, overseeing maintenance and continuous improvement of a production facility, QA systems, and EHS. Evident business skills with the ability to clearly communicate strategy and vision to various members. Software/computer skills. KEY COMPETENCIES

Michigan Sugar Company is headquartered in Bay City and has sugar beet processing facilities in Bay City, Caro, Croswell and Sebewaing.
