The
Payroll Manager
is responsible for managing all payroll activities and compiling payroll data to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll for all US locations of UGN. In this role, you will maintain payroll and time records as required by law and ensure that all payroll processes are administered following IRS and Department of Labor guidelines. The role is responsible for processing weekly and bi-weekly payrolls using the UKG payroll system. The position will supervise the Payroll Coordinator.
What you will bring to UGN:
Maintain the set-up of the payroll system, including master controls, codes, and reports. Transmit and process payroll batches for weekly and bi-weekly Team Members in accordance with UGN pay policies. Manage the Payroll Coordinator and oversee daily activities. Conduct performance reviews and provide training and coaching. Prepare and review a variety of payroll reports. Identify any payroll issues and notify Human Resources. Coordinate the processing of any special payrolls and non-recurring payroll transactions. Maintain payroll records and participate in periodic audits. Set up and maintain time clocks at US locations. Monitor and update the UKG payroll system as needed. Notify UKG of any issues and file cases. Update UKG system with holidays, yearly payroll schedule, new departments, new earnings/deduction codes, etc. Understand and apply appropriate action on garnishments, tax levies, etc. Monitor and ensure compliance with payroll taxes. Administer aspects of UGN's 401(k) plan and participate in non-discrimination testing, audits, and perform weekly activities. Create and update job aids regarding UKG payroll processes. Ensure all pay practices comply with IRS and state/local taxing authority regulations. Ensure the accuracy and timely processing of year-end W-2 forms. Perform other related duties as assigned. What you will bring to UGN:
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance from an accredited university preferred. 7+ years of payroll experience with previous experience at a management level preferred. Previous experience working with a multi-state payroll set-up required. Strong knowledge of payroll processes and IRS regulations. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, and compensation policies. Ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing). Ability to calculate figures such as gross pay, tax deductions, garnishments, etc. Advanced reporting knowledge with the ability to create complex reports using Excel (formulas, vlookups, etc.) Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and payroll system software. Previous experience using UKG strongly preferred.

Pay range: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00, and participation in our annual incentive plan. If you are offered this position at UGN, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, experience, and/or geographic location. In addition to those factors, UGN considers internal equity among current Team Members when developing the final offer.
Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefit package for full-time Team Members, including medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, 401K with company match, short and long-term disability insurance, and paid time off, including 10 paid holidays.
