The Payroll Tax Administrator is a key member of the Payroll department responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording of the company's payroll tax payments and filings. The role involves maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The administrator should be knowledgeable about payroll processing procedures, tax legislation, audit requirements, and reconciliation procedures. Attention to detail is essential in capturing jurisdictional withholding updates and ensuring the HRIS system is updated accordingly. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly, multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees using the UKG payroll system. Process off-cycle payrolls for corrections, adjustments, and incentives; handle on-demand checks including final pay, ensuring compliance with company and state requirements. Prepare weekly payroll processing and accounting reports such as payroll pre-checks, detailed payroll registers, cash analysis, GL summaries, and details. Verify direct deposit information for new hires and changes in UKG. Perform administrative tasks as required by the Corporate Controller or Assistant Controller, often on short notice. Maintain the HRIS system with current tax regulations and update relevant departments accordingly. Assist with period-end close processes (month, quarter, year), reconciling tax filings from UKG and ensuring accuracy. Conduct internal audits on HRIS to ensure proper tax compliance on employee withholdings. Ensure voluntary and involuntary deductions are set up correctly according to tax guidelines. Assist team members with tax-related queries and provide solutions per company policies. Skills and Credentials

Previous experience with processing multi-state payroll. Experience with tax withholding setup and management. Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets. Excellent written communication skills for departmental administrative needs. Exceptional attention to detail, data integrity, and strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure. Associates Degree (preferred). 2 to 4 years of experience in in-house payroll processing (preferred). Experience with UKG (preferred).
