Warehouseman
Billings School District 2 is seeking a Warehouseman to perform general warehousing duties for the District's material distribution center. Schedule: 12-Month Position; Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wage: $20.26 per hour for 90 Workdays and then $22.51 per hour Regular Pay. Benefits: PERS Retirement; Fully Paid Health Insurance; Vacation/Sick Days. Examples Of Duties: Drives light trucks and delivery vans to District buildings Picks up merchandise from area vendors when needed Performs general shipping and receiving duties, checks in freight, mail and UPS and process it for distribution Performs picking and packing of merchandise stored at the central warehouse for distribution Performs basic preventative maintenance work on vehicles which includes washing, checking fluid and tires Operates forklift when needed Processes in-district incoming and outgoing mail Performs general light maintenance to maintain warehouse work areas in a safe manner Assists and picks up merchandise from schools/buildings to be re-distributed Performs related work as required for the daily operation of the District central warehouse operation Performs warehousing work as requested by the Director of Purchasing Requirements: Valid Montana Drivers License with good driving history High school graduate or equivalent Knowledge of vehicle laws and safe operation of equipment Must be mechanically inclined Must be able to: Operate light trucks. Perform operational maintenance of assigned equipment. Keep records. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and other agencies and the public. Follow written and verbal instructions. Do heavy manual labor. Meet standards or the pure food and drug laws. Operate a forklift. Delivery and warehouse experience preferred with a background/on-the-job training for mechanical skills that are required or any equivalent combination of education and experience Equal Opportunity Employer.
