Image Data Scientist
A leading biotechnology company is seeking an Image Data Scientist. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and application of image-processing methods and pipelines using both conventional techniques and advanced techniques, such as machine learning and deep learning. Image Data Scientist Responsibilities: Contribute to the development and implementation of new AI-powered image analysis algorithms. Close collaboration with pathologists to design and execute image analysis workflows tailored to biological questions. Work with computational and data scientists across various departments. Image Data Scientist Qualifications: BS, MS, or PhD-level scientist. Background and experience in computer sciences with a strong interest in biomedical sciences. Proficient programming skills in Python, including standard packages for image segmentation and statistical analysis. Comfort with iterative design processes and openness to frequent feedback. Experience in developing algorithms for digital pathology whole slide image analysis is desired. Experience with commercial digital pathology software (e.g., HALO) is desired. Experience in biomedical microscopy and/or image analysis is desired. Skills in R, MATLAB, and statistical analysis are desired. Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Keras is desired. Experience with Amazon EC2 cloud computing is desired. Shift: 8 am to 5 pm or 8 hours of work Monday to Friday.
