Job Overview: As a Principal Data Scientist working with the Product Innovation Team, you will drive the development of innovative solutions that transform data into high-impact, customer-facing products. In this highly strategic and technical role, you will work cross-functionally to design and deliver scalable machine learning systems that unlock new revenue opportunities and power the next generation of data driven offerings. You will serve as a technical thought leader and hands-on contributor, bringing deep expertise in advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and artificial intelligence to complex business challenges. Your work will directly influence product direction and commercialization strategy, as you prototype and productionize models that enable new capabilities and insights for both internal users and external partners. At the forefront of emerging AI technologies, you will help shape the long-term technical vision for data science within the product organization-guiding experimentation, establishing best practices, and mentoring others while staying closely aligned with evolving business needs and market trends. Experience in advertising or digital media is a strong plus, especially familiarity with advertising measurement and activation use cases. Job Responsibilities:
Leads data science projects from inception to completion. Extract, prepare, and model large, complex data sets using a combination of skills, including machine learning theory, mathematics, statistics, and programming. Lead the exploration and adoption of ground breaking AI/ML technologies, setting the direction for innovation and technical excellence within the team. Lead the implementation, assessment and standardization of advanced analytics and modeling toolkits for our data science teams. Partner with data engineering teams to shape data management strategies, architecture, governance, pipelines, and infrastructure enabling effective modeling environments for data science teams. Provide senior level guidance, technical leadership and mentorship to the data science team, guiding the development of impactful data-driven solutions. Communicate significant information and insights to business leaders using verbal, written, and data visualization skills. Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor's Degree Quantitative Discipline (math, statistics, economics, computer science, physics, engineering) (Required) Master's/Advanced Degree Quantitative Discipline (math, statistics, economics, computer science, physics, engineering) (Preferred) 7-10 years Industry experience in predictive modeling, data science, and analysis in an ML engineer or data scientist role building and deploying ML models or hands on experience developing deep learning models Required 4-7 years Experience writing and speaking about technical concepts to business, technical, and lay audiences and giving data-driven presentations Required 7-10 years Experience articulating and translating business questions and using statistical techniques to arrive at an answer using available data Required 4-7 years Experience with statistical methods and advanced modeling techniques.
