SUMMARY The
Purchasing / Receiving Clerk ("Recepcionista de Mercancas")
coordinates the daily procurement, storage, and issuance of all hotel food and beverage as well as its operating supplies.

Receives products from vendor deliveries and unloads trucks at the loading dock. Compares packing lists to company purchase orders and ensures that the products in each delivery match the packing list. Updates the product inventory as products are received and added to our inventory. Packages products for return to vendors and fills out any paperwork necessary prior to the shipment being picked up. Follows department standards to ensure consistent, high-quality service. Coordinates the issuance and control of all support materials necessary for the daily business levels. Prepares a daily invoice receiving the report. Uses and ensures that storage equipment (i.e.; shelving, walk-in boxes, scales etc.) are properly stocked and well-organized. Ensures the proper rotation of all perishable items (FIFO). Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED. At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training. If no educational background, at least 1 year. A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement. Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred. Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required. Current industry certifications required: Current, unexpired, driver's license with no recent violations. Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges. Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs. The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
**The pay scale posted is the salary or hourly wage range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position during the first year of employment. The posted range does NOT include potential additional types of compensation, such as gratuities, service charges, commissions, or bonuses. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on qualifications and/or experience.
