SUMMARY The

Hostperson ("Recepcionista de Restaurante")

welcomes our guests to the restaurant in a warm and enthusiastic fashion. Smiles and presents a professional appearance, manages reservations and works with other staff to meet guests' needs.

Makes eye contact and smiles warmly when welcoming our guests. Is aware of reservation names in advance of guest's arrival. Seats guests according to a pre-arranged seating plan and initiates light conversation while doing so. Hands menus to guests and takes drink order to expedite and improve service, as necessary. Manages the reservation book to ensure all reservations are honored for the correct time in order to enhance guest satisfaction as well as operational efficiency. Ensures appropriate menus are available for distribution (i.e. lunch, dinner etc.). Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training. If no educational background, at least 1 year. Previous similar position in a restaurant or hotel is preferred. Experience in dealing with the public is required, such as customer service in retail, food & beverage, hospitality, etc. Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required. Current industry certifications required: Food Handlers Certification & RBS Certification. Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times. Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs. The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
