Associate Nurse Manager

The Associate Nurse Manager reports directly to the Nurse Manager and oversees daily operations of assigned shift ensuring proper care is provided to all patients. The Associate Nurse Manager is accountable to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical and support staff, and appropriate resource and service management related to patient care on assigned shift. The Associate Nurse Manager must also ensure services and care are provided abiding by the policies and procedures of the organization, demonstrate fiscal responsibility and accountability. The Associate Nurse Manager plays a crucial role in assisting the Nurse Manager with strategic operations of the unit, conducting staff meetings, and all other responsibilities. The Associate Nurse Manager is knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and patient care standards. Responsibilities include: Strategic Vision People Leadership Service Excellence Organizational Impact Continuous Improvement Operational Excellence Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience. Management experience is strongly preferred. Associate Nurse Manager in Acute Care, highly preferred. At least 3 years' experience as Acute Care registered nurse. At least one year experience as unit charge nurse. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Florida RN license is required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers is required upon hire with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment. Must meet and maintain valid and current all unit specific and organizational skills/competencies, certifications/licensures, as required by regulatory and/or nursing standard of practice for the specialty.
