MetaPhase is seeking a mission-focused IT Project Manager (PM) to lead a high-visibility data management/modernization, migration, and project management office opportunity within the Department of Homeland Security. What You Will Be Doing: Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) with the contracting officer and DHS program stakeholders Oversee all day-to-day operations for the project, managing timelines, deliverables, risks, and scope Ensure all contractor staff are fully informed and compliant with DHS rules, regulations, and safety practices Interface regularly with clients to monitor expectations and satisfaction, mitigating issues promptly Establish, monitor, and report on contract performance metrics and assessments Lead agile ceremonies and sprint planning activities; ensure deliverables align with scope and quality standards Conduct resource planning and ensure effective staffing aligned to contractual needs Escalate risks and issues proactively, while preparing mitigation strategies Foster team growth through mentorship and people leadership responsibilities What We Need From You (Required): U.S. citizenship is required (NO EXCEPTIONS) 10+ years of experience in IT project implementation, ideally within the federal government space 5+ years as a full-time project manager in agile environments 5+ years of experience leading federal financial projects Strong stakeholder engagement, client communication, and team leadership capabilities PMP certification (Project Management Institute) Working knowledge of PMBOK principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills DHS EOD Bonus Points (Desired): Experience managing DHS programs or working with public trust-cleared personnel Familiarity with federal financial systems, data governance, and compliance requirements Additional agile or scrum certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe Agilist) Work Setup & Travel: Hybrid - Based in Washington, DC. Occasional travel may be required. Clearance & Education: Must be able to obtain public trust Bachelor's degree in information systems, IT management, or related field Compensation: Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
