Maintenance Technician – North Kansas City, MO (2nd Shift)

About the Role: You will perform preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance to ensure top efficiency and reliability of production equipment, overhead cranes, conveyors, and facility systems. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to repair and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities: Perform safe maintenance and repair on mechanical production and facility equipment, including mills, slitters, cranes, conveyors, and lubrication systems Fabricate, assemble, weld, and machine components needed for equipment upkeep Utilize hydraulic knowledge to diagnose and fix issues Execute precision lubrication and preventative maintenance tasks Respond to emergency repairs to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (O.E.E.) Participate in root cause failure analysis and suggest improvements to reduce downtime Document all maintenance activities including symptoms, root causes, and corrective actions using SAP CMMS Maintain clean, organized workspaces following 5S principles Collaborate effectively within your team and contribute ideas for process enhancements
What You Bring: Minimum 5 years manufacturing maintenance experience Proficiency reading hydraulic schematics and operating overhead cranes Strong mechanical aptitude with solid troubleshooting skills Basic math skills and effective communication abilities Ability to lift and handle tools, work in noisy, dusty environments, including occasional overtime
