Position Details Start: ASAP Role Type: Temporary – Onsite Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Required Experience & Skills Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in: Processing medical records requests for patients, providers, law firms, attorneys, etc. EPIC Release of Information (ROI) module (minimum 1 year required) HIPAA and Release of Information procedures Use of Kofax, PDF applications, and e-fax systems Data entry and processing accuracy of 95% or higher Preferred: RHIT/RHIA credential (not required)
Key Responsibilities Receive and prioritize requests from multiple sources and process through the appropriate systems within required timelines. Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and HIPAA privacy standards. Address customer inquiries for patient information, assist callers with making requests, and provide general customer service. Educate customers on confidentiality and privacy regulations. Identify and respond appropriately to internal and external customer needs using available resources.
Skills Required EPIC ROI (Release of Information module) Strong data entry accuracy Knowledge of HIPAA laws and confidentiality protocols E-fax handling, PDF editing/processing tools Excellent organizational and communication skills
