Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered (DHA) is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer with pipeline rehabilitation and bypass experience for a program management contract.

SALARY RANGE

$50 to $80 per hour

Responsibilities

Assist project managers with comprehensive project planning and execution; Provide support for permitting processes and regulatory compliance; Contribute to project designs and preparation of Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) Review and evaluate design and construction submittals; Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment; and Manage and monitor project schedules and budgets to meet deadlines and financial targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field; 3 to 8 years of relevant engineering experience; Professional Engineering (PE) license in Washington, DC, or the ability to obtain one within one year; Preferred familiarity with trenchless technologies for pipeline upgrades, project permitting processes, and bypass systems; Familiarity with preparation of construction documents is required; Knowledge of DC Water design standards is preferred; Experience with project management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is preferred; and Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment about 80% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Field work is required about 20% of the time where work may be conducted outside in one or more of the following conditions: heat or cold, wet or humid, and dry or arid. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed. Assignment is five days per week on site in client's office in Washington, DC.
