Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in downtown Houston, TX. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in data engineering and experience building data analytics solutions. The successful candidate will work with Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Databricks or similar data pipeline tools, and will have proficiency in SQL and Python. The role will also work with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to build and maintain analytics dashboards. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust data architecture, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability of data pipelines. Develop, test, and maintain ETL processes using tools like Azure Data Factory, Fivetran/Airbyte, and Databricks. Ensure data pipelines are reliable and capable of handling large-scale data processing. Collaborate with data analysts to understand requirements and implement solutions. Clean, transform, and structure data to meet business needs. Build and maintain analytics data models using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. Document data architecture, processes, and pipelines. Prepare reports on data pipeline performance and usage. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in computer science, data engineering, or related field. 2+ years of experience in data engineering. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Services, Fabric, Python, and SQL. Experience with data pipeline tools such as Airbyte, Fivetran, DBT, Databricks. Experience with upstream Oil & Gas data and processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, and have stamina for attention to detail despite interruptions. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds, read printed materials and screens, and communicate effectively.
