About the Role
Were seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer to join a leading financial services organization. Youll play a critical role in maintaining production application stability, resolving incidents, implementing automation, and supporting audits and disaster recovery for complex enterprise platforms. This is a contract-to-hire position for professionals with strong hands-on skills in both application and infrastructure layers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, triage, and resolve critical production alerts and application defects .
- Own end-to-end incident resolution and root cause analysis with a proactive mindset.
- Review and maintain knowledge base articles and runbooks in collaboration with development teams.
- Support audit responses , BCM documentation , and disaster recovery execution .
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual work in application monitoring and support.
- Lead and execute production deployments , including vendor application upgrades.
- Collaborate closely with internal dev teams to provide feedback into application design.
- Promote and align with risk and control processes throughout daily support activities.
- 4+ years of experience in application support or related IT roles.
- Strong expertise in:
- Java/J2EE , Oracle/SQL , IBM MQ ,
- ServiceNow (SNOW) / ITIL processes,
- Splunk , Autosys
- Proficient in Linux/Unix environments and cloud platforms like AWS .
- Solid understanding of application infrastructure and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent technical experience).
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with IIB (IBM Integration Bus) and basic networking concepts .
- Background in the Finance & Securities domain.
- Passion for transparency, collaborative teamwork, and ongoing learning.
- Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional engagement skills.
- Candidates must be local to Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL .
- This is a W2-only contract-to-hire role.
