Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Legal Specialist (Client’s parlance for Litigation Paralegal) for a global medical device manufacturer. The Interim Legal Specialist’s case load will involve a wide variety of matters, including product liability, employment, commercial, and intellectual property cases, as well as government investigations.

Overview:
Our client seeks a skilled Legal Specialist for a six-month assignment.
Company:
Our client is a publicly traded medical device manufacturer with a broad array of products in areas ranging from cardiology to neurology to gastroenterology.
Experience:
Three or more years of complex litigation experience acquired in a top law firm or in-house environment (ideally life scienced or medical device).
Location:
Hybrid; Three days per week at the Client’s Arden Hills, Minnesota location.
Responsibilities Include: Assist the Client’s internal and external counsel with case investigation, summaries, and timelines. Assist the Client’s internal and external counsel with witness and deposition preparation. Direct discovery process and ensure all documentary evidence is accounted for and catalogued. Summarizing case developments and preparing reports related to same. Assist with trial preparation.
Qualifications Include: Excellent academic and professional credentials including a baccalaureate degree from a well-respected university. Three or more years’ experience as a litigation paralegal handling complex litigation acquired in a top law firm and/or in-house environment. Knowledge of and familiarity with AI tools applicable to legal analysis, with demonstrated ability to enhance efficiency and accuracy in legal workflows. Fastidious attention to detail in oral and written communication.
