PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial records in QuickBooks Online Reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts monthly Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoicing, payment processing, and customer billing Administer payroll through Paychex Flex, including employee setup, PTO tracking, and payroll journal entries Track and allocate costs to specific jobs, projects, or departments to support cost accounting and margin analysis Monitor production costs, overhead, and labor expenses to ensure accurate job costing Assist with monthly close Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Prepare reports for management on spending trends, job profitability, and cost control opportunities Ensure financial records are audit-ready and support external CPA with tax filings and reporting
REQUIREMENTS Proficiency in accrual accounting principles and practices. Strong knowledge of financial accounting concepts and double-entry bookkeeping. Familiarity with public accounting practices and procedures. Ability to perform detailed account analysis effectively. Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with minimum of 2+ years experience Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Payroll processing, and Excel required Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost allocation methods for manufacturing Attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and confidentiality in handling financial data Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to move or lift to 50+ lbs. Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel. Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination. Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time Communication skills.
