About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and
licensed
Electrician
to join our growing manufacturing operations in
Charlotte, NC . In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all electrical systems, ensuring compliance with national and local electrical codes, and maintaining the electrical integrity of production and facility equipment. This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, machinery, and control panels. Lead or support electrical projects, including new equipment installations, upgrades, and system expansions. Ensure all electrical work complies with
NEC ,
OSHA , and
North Carolina Electrical Code
regulations. Supervise and mentor electrical maintenance technicians and support cross-functional maintenance teams. Coordinate with engineering and production departments to minimize equipment downtime and optimize performance. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and generate preventive maintenance schedules. Manage electrical inventory, order materials, and liaise with external contractors or service providers as needed. Ensure all safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and arc flash standards are followed at all times.
Qualifications Must hold a
valid North Carolina Electrical Contractor's License
or
Journeyman Electrician License
issued by the NC State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors.
(Required) Minimum
5+ years of industrial electrical experience , with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprints, PLCs, VFDs, and control systems. Familiarity with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA 1910 Subpart S, and electrical safety practices. Ability to work from elevated platforms, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in industrial environments. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team. High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working with
480V, 3-phase systems
and industrial automation equipment. Background in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
