Principal .NET Engineer Utah County (Hybrid) Full-Time, Direct Hire ** Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No C2C or 3rd Parties)** About The Role We're seeking a hands-on Principal .NET Engineer to lead the enhancement and optimization of a high-performance prediction exchange platform. This is a technical leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in code, excels at spotting architectural risks during reviews, and enjoys mentoring others while remaining deeply technical. You'll contribute directly to an established platform optimizing performance, scaling infrastructure, and collaborating with a small, sharp team that values clean code, big-picture thinking, and active problem-solving. Responsibilities Lead and participate in code development and peer reviews Architect and enhance multithreaded .NET applications built for high scale and availability Guide the migration from on-prem infrastructure to Azure cloud Improve system performance, stability, and scalability Collaborate in agile sprints and contribute to ongoing team discussions and activities Mentor team members and help shape development standards and practices Qualifications: 10+ years of professional experience in .NET development Expert-level knowledge of .NET, C#, and MSSQL (latest versions) Strong experience deploying to and working in Azure (DevOps, CI/CD, cloud services) Familiarity with tools like Firebase, SignalR, and SolarWinds Deep experience with multithreaded backend applications and microservice architectures Proven track record optimizing high-availability, high-scale platforms Experience with code review processes; able to identify and communicate architectural and code-level risks Background in fintech or trading platforms strongly preferred (e.g., CFTC-approved exchanges, Interactive Brokers, NASDAQ, or prediction markets) Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to contribute beyond just writing code Nice to Have: Experience with DevOps pipelines and monitoring solutions Exposure to political, sports, or financial prediction platforms Culture & Perks: Friendly, collaborative team with a strong focus on quality and communication Regular team-building events, including game sessions on Thursdays A chance to shape the future of an innovative, high-impact exchange platform All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
