PROLIM ( is currently seeking Systems Architect for one of our top clients in Plymouth, MN Job Responsibilities Looking for a Systems Architect Engineer to support our Fuzing and Warheads engineering organization. This position requires applying engineering techniques to develop advanced weapon systems of significant complexity and scope. It requires experience in applying System Architecture practices throughout all phases of military programs. Responsibilities: Recognized SME in digital signal processing, FPGA design/implementation, and new technology development. Lead digital design teams of 3-4 members with varying skill levels. Perform FPGA design, simulation, and documentation using Xilinx Kintex7, Virtex7, Zynq, Ultrascale, RFSoc, Altera Agilex, Arria 10, and Max 10. Ensure design requirements such as safety and reliability for military applications are met. Adhere to coding standards and revision control practices. Review and critique designs created by peers and junior engineers. Define development test plans, methods, and specifications to ensure robust design. Conduct testing using high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, analyzers, Matlab, and FPGA debugging tools. Involve significantly in field/on-site testing and analyze test data to assess design effects on electrical circuits. Organize and prioritize tasks effectively, demonstrating strong analytical skills. Work collaboratively within a development team to understand system interdependencies affecting circuit requirements and constraints. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years. Experience in FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog, simulation tools, and setting design constraints for timing. Experience with hardware verification, debugging tools, and lab equipment. Experience in creating and managing technical documentation and hardware/software integration. Leadership experience in engineering roles. Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with bus protocols (I2C, SPI, RS-232, JESD204B, CSI/MIPI). Proficiency in VHDL, digital signal processing functions, and FPGA design lifecycle. Experience with Intel Agilex, Arria 10, Max 10, and tools like Modelsim, Vivado, MATLAB, and Quartus. Knowledge of test requirements for military electronics, Six Sigma disciplines, and design for manufacturing. Active DoD Secret Clearance preferred.
