Network Security Engineer

A global entertainment organization seeks a Network Engineer to join the team responsible for managing the network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and scalability. This is a hybrid role at the client's new state-of-the-art facilities in NYC requiring occasional on-call weekends. U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only. Responsibilities will include: Design, deploy, and configure network infrastructure using Arista and Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls Implement and maintain BGP configurations, including route propagation, filtering, and troubleshooting Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure high availability and performance Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and develop network solutions that align with business needs Perform network capacity planning and recommend enhancements to support business growth Conduct network security assessments and implement appropriate measures to protect against potential threats Assist in the evaluation and selection of networking technologies and equipment Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers Qualified applicants should have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience in configuring, designing, and troubleshooting security technology policies/firewalls: Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper SRX, Arista and configure, administer, deploy, documenting processes and procedures. Knowledge of large-scale Firewall security & Network implementations; like but not limited to Panorama/Expedition/Cloud Vision Configuration and deployment of firewall (Palo Alto) security policies, Global Protect VPN, URL filtering, Data filtering and file blocking profiles. Strong expertise in BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization Solid understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs Nice to have: Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Arista Certified Engineering (ACE) are highly desirable.
