Primary Accountability
Pediatricians are responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. They promote wellness and are educated about the prevention of illness and health promotion. Pediatricians perform physical examinations and developmental assessments, manage pediatric illness, and help families meet their health needs. The Pediatrician will undertake hospital-based duties as required for the care of Clinic patients.
Salary Range: $230,829.00 - $300,077.00 DOE, with potential for higher compensation for highly experienced candidates.

Description of Primary Responsibilities
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Provide primary, acute, and chronic patient care (including emergency care) at an Association-operated Community Health Center and/or hospital.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with patients, treating everyone equally regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or socioeconomic status.
- Perform clinic healthcare duties for an agreed-upon number of hours per week, with schedule flexibility to accommodate hospital duties, continued education, and patient needs.
- Maintain full active hospital privileges at Othello Community Hospital.
- Provide call coverage and inpatient care at Othello Community Hospital on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays, coordinated with facility schedules and approved by the Medical Director.
- Keep accurate, up-to-date records of all clinical activities in accordance with medical records protocol.
- Meet all continuing medical education requirements and advise the Medical Director on scheduling.
- Participate in the Association’s Quality Assurance Peer Review Program.
- Attend staff conferences and medical meetings.
- Be available for consultation with other healthcare providers, the Director, and the Board of Directors on various administrative and clinical matters.
- Discuss any Board-related questions with the Chief Medical Officer.
- Devote entire time and attention to practice, including administrative and management duties.
- Refrain from providing professional services outside the organization without written consent, and avoid activities that compete with or are adverse to the organization’s interests.
- Promote a positive work culture and uphold clinic policies, including WE CARE standards of Behavior.
- Maintain confidentiality of all CBHA activities, reports, financials, and patient information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Graduate of an accredited Medical School.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Pediatrics.
- Maintain current medical practice skills and knowledge.
- Understand administrative and personnel practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory practices governing physicians, PAs, and NPs.
- Focus on the needs of the indigent and underserved, especially in rural medicine.
- At least one year of internship experience.
License and Certification
- Licensed to practice Medicine in Washington State.
- American Academy of Pediatrics certification preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Electronic Medical Record software.
Communication Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Visual acuity required for detailed work.
Travel
- Frequent travel to clinic sites required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
