Overview:We are seeking an experienced Machinist II to set up and operate CNC machine tools-including lathes and mills-to manufacture precision components within a work-cell environment. The role requires adherence to quality and safety standards, troubleshooting, and collaboration with supervisors and support teams to maintain efficient production.Key Responsibilities:Interpret blueprints, process sheets, and setup instructions to perform machining operations.Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and other manual machines as needed.Install and re-cut chuck jaws; insert and secure tooling in machine turrets.Upload/download CNC programs and make minor adjustments.Adjust machine offsets to compensate for tooling and material variations.Inspect own and others' work to ensure compliance with quality standards.Troubleshoot machine issues and collaborate with supervisors and programmers to resolve problems.Train less experienced machinists when required.Set up and verify gauges for proper calibration.Rotate between different department work centers as needed.Enter data accurately into the ERP system.Support continuous improvement initiatives.Load and unload parts weighing up to 25 lbs.Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience operating and setting up CNC lathe and/or mill machines.High school diploma or equivalent.Strong understanding of machining principles and ability to perform basic math calculations.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions in English.Successful completion of a machinist aptitude test is required for external candidates.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for full shifts.Must meet U.S. export control requirements (U.S. Person status).Benefits:Competitive salary with matching 401(k) contributionsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceShort- and long-term disability insuranceLife insurance and accidental death coverageFlexible spending accounts for medical and dependent care
