Our commitment to precision and quality has earned us a strong reputation with clients across various sectors, and we pride ourselves on providing a safe, collaborative, and growth-oriented workplace for our employees.Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Machinist for our first shift. This role will focus on machining large, high-precision gears for heavy equipment applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and programming CNC lathes and experience working with large, custom components.Key Responsibilities:Operate CNC lathes to produce large custom gears according to engineering specifications and blueprints.Set up and program CNC lathes, including selecting appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for the material and design requirements.Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise machining of components.Perform in-process inspections to verify conformance to specifications, using precision measurement instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, and gauges).Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.Collaborate with team members to improve processes, troubleshoot issues, and meet production goals.Adhere to all safety guidelines and company procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship in machining or related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist, preferably in the manufacturing of large custom components.Proficiency in programming and operating CNC lathes; experience with large gear machining a plus.Strong understanding of G-code and machine tooling for optimal machining performance.Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications with high accuracy.Proficient in using precision measurement tools and maintaining tight tolerances.Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during the shift.Benefits:Competitive hourly wage based on experienceComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for skill development and advancementSchedule: 6am - 3:30 pm, Mon-Fri (Estimate - could vary as business dictates)
