Travel Nurse Job Details Location: Amsterdam, NY 12010 (New York healthcare job) Facility: Hospital Labor and Delivery Unit Assignment Type: Locum tenens / Travel RN contract Start Date: September 2, 2025 End Date: November 29, 2025 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week On Call: May be required; must respond within 30 minutes Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950 - $2090 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State Minimum 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience At least 2 years of travel nurse experience (contract renewals preferred) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Ability to float to other hospital units as needed COVID-19 vaccination highly recommended Labor and Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum Monitor patient status, recognize complications, and respond to emergencies using advanced clinical skills Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams Administer medications and assist with labor and delivery procedures Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care best practices Float to other clinical units as needed to support hospital operations Fulfill on-call responsibilities and respond within 30 minutes when scheduled Join our healthcare team in Amsterdam, NY and take the next step in your travel nursing career.
