This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing exceptional care to mothers and babies. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit, adhering to the highest standards of nursing practices.- Monitor and assess the health status of laboring patients, including conducting cervical exams and managing complications during labor.- Assist in the preparation of patients for C-sections and provide care for patients in recovery.- Implement couplet care where applicable, facilitating the mother-baby bonding process post-delivery.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and patient safety. Unit Information: - Number of Beds: 7 labor rooms, 2 operating rooms (ORs), and 10 mother-baby (MB) rooms. - Staffing: Night Shift: 2 L&D RNs, 1 NICU RN, 1 CST. - Patient Ratios: 1:1 for active labor patients.- Equipment Used: NOVII, Phillips EMR, Meditech, CPN. Qualifications: - Must possess a valid Indiana nursing license or compact license at the time of submission. - A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, specifically in Labor and Delivery. - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, NRP, and EFM. - Preferred experience with couplet care and familiarity with spinning babies techniques. Personality Fit: Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.
