American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU night shift at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic EMR experience and advanced critical care certifications.Job Details•Work in the Neuro Trauma ICU within a short-term acute care hospital,•Level II Trauma Center environment serving neurological, trauma, medical, and cardiac ICU patients,•Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30,•Patient ratio of 1:2 in the ICU,•Epic EMR is used and recent Epic experience is required,•Floating required between CVICU, NTICU, Telemetry, Acute Care (neurology, surgical, ortho/med), Observation, and occasional ED boarding,•Travelers receive a 4-hour orientation when floating to other units,•Specialized procedures include chest tube insertion, central lines, PICCs, bedside tracheostomy, intubation, codes, and post-cardiac arrest cooling catheter placement,•Common equipment includes PA catheters, Impella devices, ventilators, Cheeta, CRRT, IABP, and Arctic Sun cooling pads,Job Requirements•Active RN license (or proof of application for state licensure) required,•2 years of recent ICU experience preferred; will consider 1 year if most recent in a large facility,•Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (must be in hand prior to start); TNCC/TCAR, CCRN, CSC, SCRN, and TCRN are preferred,•Advanced skills in trauma ICU care, including management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, hypothermia/hyperthermia protocols, pre/post cardiac interventions, IV insulin, renal failure, arterial/central/PICC line care, continuous IV sedation, and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips,•Experience with ventilator management, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, CPAP, arterial blood gases, temporary pacers, and infection prevention protocols,•Epic EMR experience within the last year is required,•Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19,Additional Information•Care for complex neuro-trauma and medical ICU cases, including stroke, ICH, SAH, seizures, sepsis, ARDS, CHF, CKD, AKI, ETOH withdrawal, DKA, and donor management,•Specialized responsibilities include support for massive transfusion team and hospital cardiac arrest team,•No on-call required and no block scheduling, candidate flexibility is essential,•Scrub color is any color, scrubs are not provided,•Free parking available for staff,•First-time travelers are not accepted; prior travel experience is preferred,•Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not accepted,•No RTO (requested time off) restrictions; some holiday coverage may be required,•Candidates with a prior employment at this health system must have a minimum one-year separation before consideration,),•hash,:•8301295677464010855,
