Job DescriptionA press brake operator is a skilled professional responsible for operating a press brake machine to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to specifications. This is a crucial role in the manufacturing industry, ensuring the production of precise and high-quality components. Mon-Fri: 1st/2nd shifts Pay Rate: $21-25Core Responsibilities: Machine Setup and Operation: Setting up and operating press brake machines, including selecting and installing tooling (punches and dies), adjusting machine settings (bend angles, pressure, back gauge positioning), and operating CNC or manual controls. Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to understand project requirements and determine machine settings. Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, protractors) to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards. Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and reporting any issues. Safety: Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring the safe operation of the press brake. Production Monitoring: Monitoring production activities, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with others to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
