About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join its mission-driven team. The CMO will be responsible for the retention and development of a strong, mission-focused, patient-centered clinical workforce, with a focus on advancing access to quality, team-based care. This role involves overseeing the delivery of safe, sustainable, and high-quality care, promoting a population health model, and ensuring the financial viability of the organization. The CMO will also lead a team of medical directors, optimize the integrated, team-based primary care model, and drive an enhanced focus on prevention, wellness, and early intervention. Additionally, the CMO will be involved in provider recruitment, support residency and clinical training programs, and advocate for mission-critical funding and policy initiatives. Candidates for the CMO position at the company should have at least 5 years' of experience as a Medical Director in a medium to large practice or division, or 4 years' as a Medical Director within the organization. A background in primary care, particularly in a community health center setting, is preferred. The ideal candidate will be an MD or DO with an unrestricted medical license, board-certified or board-eligible, and have a strong commitment to the highest standards of customer service. Executive competencies, including strong leadership, change management, and a proven track record in driving organizational and clinical excellence, are essential. The CMO should also demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and have the ability to engage in community service and brand ambassadorship.
