nLockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX. This role will require communication and collaboration with multiple disciplines within the production facility, as well as internal and external stakeholders. The day to day business rhythm will be the application of manufacturing engineering methodologies and skills to meet customer requirements and achieve the goals and objectives of the production programs. You will be part of a team that contributes to the success of the facility and delivery of the product.
nThis individual will assist with the process development of multiple mechanical parts relating to an individual program. Work with shop floor personnel to develop work instructions that are accurate and yield high quality products. Work with NC programming, Tool Design, Engineering, and shop floor personnel to continuously improve the process. Investigate and identify root cause for all defects related to the product. Support the program needs for delivery of assembled mechanical parts. Occasional travel is required.
nThis position requires a self-motivated individual
ndriven to improve manufacturing processes and
ncoordinate producibility issues between Technical
nOperations and Production operations.
nBasic Qualifications:
n• Bachelor’s in Manufacturing Engineering
nTechnology degree or related technical area,
nfrom an accredited college in a related discipline.
n• General understanding of manufacturing processes
nDesired Skills:
n• Experience with manufacturing and shop floor
nsupport
n• Process knowledge of activities such as ceramic
ngrinding, machining, sheet metal fabrication,
nwelding, assembly, materials handling, robotics,
nand paint / coating systems
n• Knowledge and ability to conduct Root Cause /
nCorrective Action activities

nAbility to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
