A highly rated seasonal luxury hotel on Nantucket Island is hiring an Executive Sous Chef to help lead its culinary team. This role partners closely with the Executive Chef and plays a key part in daily operations, staff development, and creative menu execution. It's a strong opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on leadership environment and enjoys the energy of seasonal resort hospitality.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support daily kitchen operations
  • Supervise and mentor line cooks and prep staff
  • Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and service flow
  • Assist with menu development, specials, and seasonal planning
  • Monitor food inventory, purchasing, and food cost
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and regulatory compliance


What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years hotel events experience a must
  • Strong kitchen leadership and communication skills
  • Culinary technique and food safety knowledge
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
