About The Opportunity
An established industry leader in manufacturing technology and quality systems is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team at their main office in the North Cincinnati area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain practical accounting experience and grow within a supportive organization.
In this position, youll collaborate with other members of the accounting team to ensure the accuracy of financial records and assist with a variety of accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will also gain exposure to key business operations and have the opportunity to support process improvements, participate in system upgrades, and contribute to departmental projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations and help resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Contribute to the implementation and support of the ERP system, including data entry and validation.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to collect financial data and support overall business operations.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (completed or expected within 6 months).
- 2+ years of experience and/or internship experience applying accounting principles and preparing financial reports.
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience with ERP systems (such as Sage X3) is a plus but not required.
- Interest in working in a manufacturing-focused environment is preferred.
